Must-see shows by Texas artists: June 19-25

01:22 PM CDT on Wednesday, June 17, 2009

By MARIO TARRADELL / Music Critic

Houston's Roger Creager now has a nice little catalog of CDs, five since 1998's Having Fun All Wrong debut. The batch includes 2004's Live Across Texas and the newest, 2008's Here It Is.

That's pretty cool for this country singer-songwriter who has carved his name in the Lone Star music pantheon through hard work, plenty of touring and an independent spirit. And it's not bad for a former management consultant with a longtime penchant for swing music, country-rock and even blues-drenched balladry. Yeah, he's from Texas, all right.
