Actor pleads not guilty12:00 AM CDT on Thursday, August 14, 2008SAN DIEGO, Calif. – An actor who appeared in The 40-Year-Old Virgin has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder in the stabbing of his girlfriend. Shelley Malil, 43, appeared Wednesday in county Superior Court. He could get life in prison.
Kendra Beebe, 35, was stabbed more than 20 times at her home in San Marcos, Calif. Her condition remains critical. The Associated Press
