A decision on the new MillerCoors headquarters site could come within a week, and Dallas is on the short list, local real estate sources say. Molson Coors Brewing Co. and SABMiller PLC's joint venture became official last week, and MillerCoors expects to be in its new headquarters within a year. It's the No. 2 U.S. brewer after Anheuser-Busch Cos. MillerCoors has narrowed sites to the Dallas area or Chicago, according to an article in Wednesday's Crain's Chicago Business. It also considered Atlanta, Boston and Kansas City. The company has been looking at 100,000 to 150,000 square feet in downtown Dallas, Irving and Far North Dallas, local brokers said. MillerCoors would be another coup for Dallas-Fort Worth, which has recently landed some big corporate deals. Last month, AT&T Inc. said its headquarters and 700 workers will move to downtown Dallas.
