Set sprinklers to water the lawn or garden only - not the street or sidewalk.
Use the microwave to cook small meals. (It uses less power than an oven.)
Purchase "Green Power" for your home's electricity. (Contact your power supplier to see where and if it is available.)
Scrape, rather than rinse, dishes before loading into the dishwasher; wash only full loads.
Cut back on air conditioning and heating use if you can.
Turn off appliances and lights when you leave the room.

ARLINGTON — The T launched weekday bus service Tuesday between Arlington's two park-and-ride lots and downtown Fort Worth.
It's the first tentative step toward public transportation in the nation's largest city without commuter bus or rail service.
There are three buses every morning from each location and three return trips in the afternoon. Commuters can make connections at the Intermodal Transportation Center downtown with other T bus routes and the Trinity Railway Express.
Fare for the service is $2.50 each way. A monthly pass is available for $80 and transfers to other routes are free.
Officials said the trial bus service — which does not run on Saturdays or Sundays — is a pilot program currently scheduled for a one-year trial.
