Q: I know that The Revolution and The Chew will be airing on WFAA this fall and that unfortunately, Katie Couric will also be invading homes in 2012. I just saw a promo for Anderson Cooper's new show to air this fall at 3 p.m. What time slot will WFAA give to General Hospital this coming fall? It currently has the 3 p.m. slot. Just so you know, like many other outraged soap fans, I will not be tuning in to the new "lifestyle" shows on ABC. General Hospital and Dr. Oz will be the only daytime programming worth watching.
Mary

A: Thank you for the email, Mary. Regret to know you are not a fan of ABC’s decisions. As you know the network and not stations such as WFAA initiated these changes. The Chew is scheduled to air at 11 a.m. in place of All My Children. News 8 Midday airs at Noon followed by One Life to Live (probably until January 2012, however we do not have a firm last telecast date from ABC at this time) at 1 p.m. and General Hospital at 2 p.m. In terms of WFAA programming, we will air Anderson, which is scheduled at 3 p.m., taking the place of Dr. Oz, which moves to 4 p.m. replacing Oprah this fall. The WFAA changes happen on September 12. We hope this information is useful. Thank you again for taking the time to write: we very much appreciate that.
