Q: I was very happy to see your bit on domestic violence.  It is a growing issue and it is my mission to help raise awareness.  Women stay for many reasons, one being they are too ashamed to leave.  This is a stigma attached to Domestic Violence and that stigma is part of what keeps us in these relationships.

Q: When you started in on domestic violence, I had no idea it was going to be a Christianity-bashing marathon. I keep hearing you talk about what "the church" teaches. It's not about what "the church" teaches, it's about Jesus plainly taught. All you need to do is read it. Separation and divorce are not synonyms. Jesus placed restrictions on divorce. I don't read where he said anything about separation. Jesus gave only one permissible reason for divorce. (Matt. 5:32; 19:9) If there were any other "out," He would have said something about it. I have tried, twice, to watch your coverage of this and, both times, I had to turn it off.

A: Our news department has done a number of stories on this issue lately. The email we received only reinforces the interest.
