A: That’s what’s commonly referred to as a “bug,” and is scheduled during prime time programs by ABC, not affiliates such as WFAA (WFAA and ABC do not share ownership). The practice was popularized beginning in the 1980s primarily on cable networks such as TBS, and later became standard operating procedure on the broadcast networks.
