FORT WORTH - A 42-year-old Fort Worth native was one of six killed over the weekend during a Taliban suicide attack in Afghanistan.

A 1988 graduate of Nolan Catholic High School, Dario Lorenzetti worked with the U.S. State Department in Afghanistan for more than one year. Previous to his transfer to the department, Lorenzetti served in the U.S. military.

He was scheduled to return home to Houston on December 15.

Nine people were killed Saturday in three separate attacks across Afghanistan.

Lorenzetti is survived by his wife, Kirstin, and three young daughters.
