In this video, he explains the process the cardinals will go through to elect a new pope. The cardinals will begin Tuesday with a special mass at St. Peter's Basilica. Then, they move to the Sistine Chapel, which has been closed for days as they get ready for the voting process.
It takes a two-thirds majority or 77 votes to elect a new pope. It could take hours or even days.
The world will know when new pope has been elected when white smoke is seen through the chimney.
