Japan is struggling with a rare snowstorm. Central Tokyo is under its first heavy snowfall warning in 13 years. Universities canceled entrance examinations this weekend, and the Tokyo airport has suspended flights.
That's where WFAA reporter Jason Whitely has been stuck.
It took his taxi 12 hours just to make the 50-mile trip to Narita International Airport. When he got there, no passengers were going anywhere; all flights were canceled.
Whitely spent almost 24 hours in the terminal, and he's been documenting his ordeal on his Twitter page, @JasonWhitely.
