DALLAS —  The storm system fizzled out before it hit North Texas Sunday morning. The area was on the tail end of the severe storms that hit Kansas and Oklahoma, causing deaths and damage.

As the storms moved through, Dallas-Fort Worth residents were pelted with brief heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds and even small hail —  typical texas thunderstorms.

Areas east of Dallas in could see some issues later on Sunday as the air temperatures increases and the storms have the opportunity to intensify.

Saturday night turned out to be a quiet one as far as weather goes in North Texas. There was no activity in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on DopplerNet radar at 10 p.m.
