Three transported to local hospitals after accident involving Garland officer

GARLAND - A Garland Police officer was on his way to a major accident around 4:30 pm on Sunday, where a pedestrian had been struck.

The officer was running lights and sirens northbound on Centerville Road at Highway 66.

A mustang, with four people inside, failed to yield to the officer and an accident occurred. 

The officer was uninjured, however, three of the four people inside the mustang had to be taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two children, one 8-year-old, the other 13-year-old, were transported to children’s hospital. The male driver of the vehicle was transported to Plano medical center.
