TYLER — Tyler beauty salon owner Carmel Foster is in jail, facing charges for allegedly giving women illegal breast-enhancing injections.
Police said one of those procedures resulted in a woman being hospitalized in critical condition last week.
So far, the Food and Drug Administration hasn't released its report on exactly what was in those injections, but newly-released documents show that police removed more than 40 items from Foster's salon, including:
- more than 60 needles and syringes
- Instant Krazy Glue
- Super Glue gel
- a type of silicone used in car repair
- Cyclobenzaprine, a muscle relaxant
Tyler police said it could be a week until the FDA testing reveals how — or if — Foster was using any of those materials as part of her breast enhancement procedure.
