HOUSTON – A Spring teen used a truck to run over an Anheuser-Busch delivery driver in order to get away with just two cases of suds, according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies.
Connor Koy, 17, was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
The employee said he was making a delivery in the 9400 block of Louetta on May 29 when he observed a gray Dodge truck “slow rolling” in the parking lot near his vehicle. Prior experience led him to believe the people in the truck were going to steal his beer.
The delivery driver began to run toward the Dodge, yelling for the suspect to stop, but the suspect accelerated the truck in his direction.
Investigators said the suspect, later identified as Koy, struck the delivery man, knocked him onto the hood, then ran over his legs once he fell to the ground.
Koy and two juvenile defendants then fled the scene.
The driver checked his inventory and noticed two cases of beer were missing.
Investigators eventually tracked the suspects down and during an interview, Koy allegedly confessed to being the driver and said the two juveniles were the ones who swiped the beer.
Koy’s bail was set at $30,000.
