HOUSTON — Texas Democrats heard from State Sen. Wendy Davis, one of their rising stars, at the party's state convention in Houston on Saturday.
The Fort Worth lawmaker representing District 10 told convention attendees that it's time for Democrats to turn their dreams into a new Texas reality.
She also said the agenda at the Texas Capitol today is one without vision.
Democrats elected their first Hispanic as state chairman. Former Cameron County Judge Gilberto Hinojosa will serve for two years.
