DALLAS - An Alabama teen allegedly kidnapped by her stepfather may be in East Texas, read a statement released Friday afternoon by the FBI.

Authorities said Ailene Lander, 15, was taken Wednesday by her stepfather Charles Partin. The FBI said Lander may also be with her mother, Julie Bethke, and five siblings.

An older model van believed to be used in the abduction was found in Alabama, and authorities said the family may now be traveling in a blue or green Toyoto minivan in the East Texas area. The FBI statement also revealed that authorities received information indicating Lander's hair may have been dyed from brown to blond.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lander or Partin is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-225-5324 and choose option one.
