SAN ANTONIO — Supporters of the right to bear arms openly attended a series of rallies across the country on Saturday, including an "Open Carry Event" at the Alamo in San Antonio.
Some people traveled from across Texas to support their second amendment right to bear arms, including Deva Spiking of Liberty Hill, who — like many others — had a rifle strapped to her back.
"Think guns are scary? They are not," she said. "It's the people behind the guns that are scary."
"Exercise your rights, or those rights you do not exercise you will lose," warned gun rights supporter Jacob Cordova.
A handful of activists attended another Open Carry Event at Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas on Saturday.
