TYLER — A deadly shooting at an East Texas shopping center is being linked to Twitter.
Police said Ricky Neal Jr. was at Tyler's Broadway Square Mall morning when he ran into a group of young men around 9:30 Saturday morning.
They were angry about a tweet Neal had sent to one of their girlfriends.
They took their dispute outside, where — police say — Neal retrieved a gun from his car and started shooting.
A 23-year-old former athlete was killed; two others were able to get away.
Neal, 25, was arrested on murder charges.
A pastor says the situation is tragic because the victim had little to do with the argument.
