SAN ANTONIO — A car crashed through a rock wall and a privacy fence before plunging into a backyard swimming pool on San Antonio's northwest side Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. in the 13400 block of Barsan Road, which is east of Interstate 10 and north of DeZavala Road.
Fire dispatchers said at least seven units were sent to the scene after reports that a vehicle had crashed into the pool.
The driver of the vehicle was a woman in her 60s. It was not clear what caused her to lose control of the vehicle on Vance Jackson Road and crash into the yard.
She was not badly injured, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The resident was home at the time of the crash, but no one other than the driver was injured.
The next dilemma for emergency workers: How to fish the car out of the water.
