SAN ANTONIO -- The mother of a missing 7-year-old boy was taken in for questioning by SAPD minutes after her son was found safe.
According to SAPD, Kasion "Kash" Johnson disappeared in the 800 block of Sterling. In a release, SAPD initially said there was concern for the boy's safety. Just before noon on Friday, the boy was found 'safe and sound' according to an SAPD tweet. Police said the 7-year-old eventually ended up with a family friend, who lives several blocks away.
A witness told police the boy was reportedly locked out of the house by his mom around 1:30 a.m. The child then allegedly threw rocks at the house in an attempt to get the mother to let him back inside, according to an SAPD statement. After the child was reunited with her son, she reportedly become 'belligerent and was taken in by SAPD for a statement.
Investigators said the child was transported to Youth Services while Child Protective Services assesses the incident.
SAPD said no arrests or charges have been made.
