AUSTIN -- While Thursday's floods mainly affected Central Texas, especially residents in the Onion Creek area in southeast Austin, volunteers flocked from all over Texas to help support survivors over the weekend.
Three people from Good Shepherd Episcopal School in Dallas served more than 2,200 meals to flood survivors over the weekend.
They said they found about the need Friday night, and by Saturday morning, their mobile food truck was on its way to Austin.
On Saturday, they served grilled cheese sandwiches and fajitas to around 1,200 people.
On Sunday, they served more than 1,000 breakfast burritos, barbecue chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs.
