You can't be half has tired of hearing about the divorce proceedings between Deion Sanders and Pilar Sanders as I am.
Trouble is, every time I complain about us doing that story, it's quickly pointed out that while many people insist they're not interested, somebody's certainly paying close attention.
It’s this week’s Uncut commentary.
Our web people tell me, interest in that marital spat is through the roof. Anything we put online, people just simply gobble up.
There is other news: a Chinese dissident has cooled relations between the U.S. and China, Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow, but forget them! There's something about seeing famous people flinging verbal darts that tends to enthrall us.
And the parties involved aren't helping.
As a matter of fact, they seem to be encouraging all the attention, with appearances on national television and friends talking about what they know or don't know.
We've had bitter divorces in Texas before, but those couples did their best to keep it quiet.
They may have filed police reports and civil complaints, but I don't remember anyone tweeting about it with their kids sitting next to them, or holding news conferences to lay out for the public the worthlessness of their child's other parent.
And I guess that's what concerns me the most -- no one seems even slightly concerned about what this may be doing to the kids.
The parents’ life together may be over. But it would be nice to provide a little dignity for the kids.
Those are my thoughts, tell me yours at firstname.lastname@example.org.
