HOUSTON – WFAA's sistion station KHOU 11 attended the installation of the beautiful Bourgeois’ bronze sculpture, Spider, a delicate yet colossal work as it was installed in the Jones Reflection Pool at Hermann Park on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

The sculpture was placed in the pond so it appears to float, on the surface of the water and will be on display through August of 2014.

The Bourgeois’ bronze sculpture was created by the internationally-acclaimed Louise Bourgeois. Before her death in 2010, Bourgeois, widely recognized as one of the most important artists in modern and contemporary art, developed a body of work wholly abstract, yet evocative of human form, expressing relatable themes of betrayal, anxiety and loneliness.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see this beautiful work of art before it leaves in August 2014. It is one of eight sculptures currently on display in Hermann Park.
