ARLINGTON - North Texans who are hitting the biggest water park in North Texas now get to check out its newest feature, the seven-story "free-fall experience" called the "Dive Bomber."
The Dive Bomber is a seven-story drop tower slide. After the rider is settled inside a launching capsule, the floor beneath his or her feet unexpectedly opens, with the rider free-falling at speeds up to 20 mph. The slide was ready to ride on June 13, and has see long lines of kids ready for the experience.
"I think it's a mix of just pure adrenaline and a little bit of being scared as well," said Sharon Parker, with Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. “But, it's been a great hit with our guests since we opened up on Friday. The lines have been long. People have been anxious to try it out and see what all the hype is about."
Dive Bomber is the latest addition to Hurricane Harbor's more than 27 rides, slides and pools.
