DALLAS — Thousands of exotic animals are making a road trip to Detroit.
SPCA of Texas has arranged for different groups — including the Detroit Zoo — to take control of the animals and insects that were seized from an Arlington business in December.
On Wednesday night, volunteers took a final count and the creatures were loaded aboard trucks.
The animals were removed from U.S. Global Exotics after evidence of cruelty.
