ARLINGTON - A wreck involving three 18-wheelers has shut down northbound Highway 360 at Division Street in Arlington, and is expected to continue to cause traffic woes into the evening rush hour.
Southbound lanes have also been shut down, with only one lane of slow-moving traffic able to drive through as crews worked at the scene.
Authorities said they were alerted to the crash involving two 18-wheelers hauling generators for gas drilling at about 12:30 p.m. The 18-wheelers struck the Division Street bridge, and then a third semi slammed into the back of one of the trailers, read a statement released by Arlington police.
The load from one of the semi's fell onto the highway, with some of the debris flying into the southbound lanes.
The railroad bridge was determined to be structurally safe.
Nearly five hours after crash, traffic was backed up for about four miles northbound and two miles southbound.
Two of the drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries that were described as not serious.
