The first poll since the Belo Debate broadcast statewide last week, shows Governor Rick Perry still leads the pack.
The Rasmussen Report poll surveyed 538 likely republican primary voters on February 1.
Perry garnered 43% of the vote in the poll, while Hutchison trailed with 29%.
The gap between the two candidates has grown since a poll last month had Hutchison at 33%.
Debra Medina continues to gain support, with a 16% showing for the tea party activist in this latest survey.
11% of voters remain undecided, with a month to go until the March 2 primary.
The poll has a margin of error of four percentage points.
