In Dallas, long serving District 16 State Senator John Carona lost by a few hundred votes to developer Don Huffines. In the State House, eight incumbents lost their seats. Others find themselves in the fight for the political life in the May runoff election, including incumbent Lt. Governor David Dewhurst.
