Yet another member of the politically prominent Medrano family has been convicted in connection with a 2010 illegal voting scandal in Dallas.

Rolando Medrano pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated perjury on Wednesday. He was accused of lying to a grand jury in an effort to protect his nephew, former Justice of the Peace Carlos Medrano.

Carlos Medrano was convicted on Monday of illegal voting in his own election. He will serve 180 days in jail.

Rolando Medrano will serve 45 days in jail and four years' probation.

All charges were dismissed against Raquel Medrano, who had also been charged with lying to a grand jury.

Two more trials for Medrano family members are scheduled for April 2.
