DALLAS - The Dallas County Election Commission has voted to hire a permanent replacement for County Elections Administrator Bruce Sherbet.
Sherbet is being replaced by his former first assistant, Toni Pippins-Poole. The vote was 4-1 with the only no-vote coming from the Republican Party Chairman Wade Emmert.
Pippins-Poole and two outside candidates were the only applicants interviewed.
Former elections administrator Bruce Sherbet said he was forced out of office last February by Commissioner John Wiley Price.
