DALLAS — The FBI on Monday searched the property of two Dallas political heavyweights besides longtime Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.
Federal agents also focused on his personal assistant Dapheny Fain and his political consultant Kathy Nealy.
Agents spent all day Monday searching Price's home, office, and a number of vehicles.
Federal agents could be seen photographing those vehicles, writing down vehicle identification numbers and removing boxes of evidence.
There was a similar scene at the DeSoto home of Daphne Fain. Inside Fain's garage was a Bentley automobile which is registered to Price.
Fain has been Price's executive assistant for 16 years.
Agents also searched the home and office of Kathy Nealy, who has been involved in South Dallas politics for years.
She has been a close adviser to numerous politicians, including former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk and also Mike Rawlings, who began his term as mayor Monday as teams of federal agents were executing search warrants.
Nealy is also a close friend of the family of Martin Luther King Jr.
