Texas House Speaker Joe Straus says he has the votes needed to ward off a challenge from the far right with Republican and Democratic votes, but how strong is that Democratic support? We'll put that question to our guest, Dallas Democratic State Rep. Eric Johnson.

On My Voice, My Opinion, Dallas Voice editor John Wright, explains why Dallas is lagging as a gay-friendly city in Texas.

Michigan last week joined Texas and 22 other states that have enacted "right-to-work" laws. That's the topic for this week's Flash Point debate pitting Mark Davis of 660 AM The Answer on the right against former State Rep. Domingo Garcia on the left.

And on Roundtable, veteran Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison says farewell to Washington. Dallas Morning News Austin bureau chief Christy Hoppe and her colleague, political writer Gromer Jeffers, join host and WFAA political reporter Brad Watson in the discussion.
