We've been following the international backlash to the sentence given to a North Texas teenager.
Ethan Couch was sentenced to 10 years' probation for the drunk driving crash that killed four people.
This weekend, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis commented on the sentence during the opening of her campaign headquarters in Fort Worth, calling the judge's decision a "disgrace."
"I don't know what can be done after the fact in terms of that decision, but most certainly from a legislative perspective, we've got to look at the fact that judges are able to make decisions like that and determine whether we need to make some adjustments in the law," Davis said.
Attorney General Greg Abbott, who is also the Republican candidate for governor, has publicly said his office is looking into the Ethan Couch sentence to see if it can be appealed.
