DALLAS — There were more punches thrown Wednesday in the ongoing grudge match between Dallas County Constable Jaime Cortes and County Judge Jim Foster.
Cortes called a news conference to announce he was filing a petition to remove Judge Foster from office — one day after Foster talked about having Cortes removed.
"The actions he has taken have not only violated the rights of the citizens, but also the rights of my deputies and employees, myself, and most importantly my family," Cortes said. "I cannot stand idly by and let this continue to happen."
The tough words come as Dallas county Commissioners Court is reviewing the results of the ogoing, private investigation into alleged wrongdoing by Cortes and another county constable.
