OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma House has approved a bill to gradually phase in the Teacher and Leader Effectiveness Evaluation System, or TLE, by the 2015-2016 school year.

The chamber passed the bill with no opposition. The House and Senate will now work on a compromise because they passed the bill in different forms.

The latest version of the bill sets up an incremental system that would add different parts of the evaluation system each year. The current year's evaluations would include a trial version of qualitative measures like classroom leadership and management. The entire system would be in effect by the 2015-2016 school year.

The evaluation system was scheduled to begin next school year, but the state Education Department asked for a delay to work out the plan's details.
