Wrong airport

Aviation expert and former pilot Denny Kelly has logged more than 18,000 hours of flight time. He appeared on News 8 at 4 to discuss Sunday's incident in which a Southwest Airlines jet landed at the wrong airport in Branson, Missouri.

That airport had a much shorter runway than the one where the jet had been scheduled to land.

"The guy was lucky to get it stopped," Kelly said. "If there had been one or two other factors that were against him, he probably would've gone off the runway and could have very easily gone off a 60-foot drop-off."

"It could've been a complete catastrophe," Kelly added.
