NEW YORK (AP) — The action shifts to Sotheby's on Day 2 of New York's spring auction season.
Four sculptures and an oil painting by Alberto Giacometti are among the items on the block Wednesday.
The auction also features three Joan Miro works that languished in a New York vault for 50 years.
Sotheby's expects the sale to raise up to $322 million.
An auction Tuesday at Christie's raised more than $285 million. The impressionist and modern art in that sale came from the estates of various prominent collectors.
A Claude Monet painting that has not been publicly exhibited since 1926 sold for $27 million.
The painting, "Water Lilies," had been in heiress Huguette (OO'-gheht) Clark's collection since 1930. She died in 2011 at age 104.
