LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a 29-year-old Las Vegas mother of three who was wounded by police after holding her young sons hostage during a 22-hour standoff will face multiple felony charges.
Sara Jones remained hospitalized Wednesday with a face wound after being shot by officers at a home in southeast Las Vegas.
Records show Jones faces kidnapping, child endangerment with a weapon, resisting a police officer and assault with a deadly weapon charges.
Police say one SWAT officer was treated at the scene and is OK after being shot in a protective shin guard during Jones' arrest a little before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say the boys, ages 2 and 3, weren't hurt.
Jones' husband and 10-year-old daughter got out of the house before the standoff began about 11 p.m. Monday.
