Westover Hills mansion destroyed in 3-alarm fire overnight

A mansion is considered a total loss after a massive fire in the Westover Hills area overnight.

TARRANT COUNTY - No one was injured as a mansion was completely destroyed in a three-alarm fire in Westover Hills overnight.

Firefighters arrived to heavy fire at the home on Westover Terrace in northwest Fort Worth just after 12:30 a.m. and immediately called for additional units.

"Crews arrived on scene, found fire through the roof and immediately declared it a 'working fire,'" Fort Worth Fire Department Lt. Kyle Falkner said. "The fire escalated to three alarms, primarily for manpower."

Falkner said firefighters were having some "access issues" due to the layout of the home in the gated community.

No one was believed to be home when the fire broke out. The cause of the fire was not yet known.

A small fire was reported in the same area Thursday night. Falkner labeled it a "minor fire" and said investigators are aware of it.
