ARLINGTON - When twisters tore through Arlington in April, severely damaging dozens of homes, they also scattered photographs to the winds.
Albums, snapshots, and portraits, all sent swirling.
The City of Arlington loosely categorized all the unclaimed pictures at the Lake Arlington branch of the library on Green Oaks Boulevard.
On Thursday, News 8 showed a 1938 portrait photo of a young woman. On Friday, the family of Ruth McCullough claimed it.
Her daughter said Ruth was 16 when she sat for the photo.
About 600 photos remain in a backroom at the library.
