ARLINGTON -- A power outage at an AT&T office in Arlington knocked out some home and wireless telephone service on Saturday morning.

Police said the disruption, which was not related to the stormy weather, started around 5:45 a.m. and appeared to be focused in the southeast part of the city.

Fire and police personnel fanned out in the affected areas to provide assistance as needed.

"Technicians quickly worked to activate back-up power, and service is currently running normally," AT&T said in a statement issued at 10:35 a.m. "We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."
