Tarrant County constable kills suspect after he allegedly pulled gun

FORT WORTH -- A Tarrant County constable shot and killed a man while serving a warrant for unpaid child support after the constable said the suspect pulled a gun from his waistband.

The constable and an agent from the state attorney general's office were serving the warrant at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Taxco Rd. at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect was shot in the chest and died at the scene.

Fort Worth police are investigating the shooting.
