FORT WORTH — The driver of a sport utility vehicle suffered minor injuries early Saturday after he crashed into a house in northwest Fort Worth.
Police said the black GMC Yukon plowed into the residence in the 2200 block of Robinwood Drive around 6:30 a.m.
A woman and boy asleep in another prat of the home were not injured.
The driver, whose name was not released, told investigators he had been trying to reach for a cell phone on the floor of his vehicle when he lost control. There was no indication that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The motorist was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
In addition to damage to the home, the SUV also struck a neighbor's fence.
In an unrelated incident, a vehicle crashed into an Arlington home on Friday morning. No one inside the residence was injured, and the driver fled on foot.
