FORT WORTH — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 at Beach Street were shut down for three hours early Saturday morning as police investigated a fatal accident.
Witnesses said 27-year-old Tino Alcala got out of the vehicle he was in at 1:15 a.m. and started walking down the freeway. The woman driving the car followed him, honking the horn and flashing the lights, trying to get him to get back into the car.
A second came up behind her and hit her car, causing it to run over Alcala, who died at the scene.
No one else was injured. Police said alcohol use was not a factor in this accident.
