Arlington police arrested the driver of a pickup truck on intoxication manslaughter charges early Saturday morning after a crash that killed a passenger.

Police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said the Ford F-150 hit a utility pole in the 100 block of Great Southwest Parkway around 3 a.m.

A passenger in the truck died later at Medical Center of Arlington. His name has not been released.

Richard said the driver, 60-year-old Ismael Vasquez-Peralta, was treated at the hospital and then taken to the Arlington City Jail, where he faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
