ARLINGTON — A motorcycle rider was killed early Saturday morning after police say he failed to negotiate a curve on Interstate 20 in Arlington.
James Kilpatrick of Burleson was on the ramp from southbound Highway 360 to I-20 when, police said, it appeared that his bike hit a guardrail around 2:15 a.m.
The 43-year-old was thrown from the vehicle and landed in a grassy area adjacent to the highway, where he was pronounced dead. Kilpatrick had not been wearing a helmet.
The westbound lanes of I-20 were closed while police investigated the fatal accident. Its cause has not been determined.
