ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys had a special guest on the sidelines Sunday: Country music superstar Kenny Chesney.
The team announced that Chesney will perform at halftime during the the Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Redskins.
Chesney told News 8 this lets him combine two of his great loves — singing and football.
"It's a very demanding sport... more so than other sports, I believe," he said. "But I'm biased, because I love football, and to be able to do something special together is the best thing in the world."
The Cowboys Thanksgiving game also serves as the national kick-off for the Salvation Army's Red Kettle holiday fundraising campaign.
