FORT WORTH -- A lawsuit against Six Flags and the German maker of the Texas Giant roller coaster ground slowly through Tarrant County district court Thursday.
Rosa Esparza was thrown to her death from the coaster at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington last year.
Her attorneys want to depose several people connected to Gerstlauer, the German company that made the cars. But they don’t believe they should have to go to Europe to do it.
Attorneys for Gerstlauer said the head of the company could be available in Houston next month, but that other depositions might be better taken overseas.
According to court filings, Six Flags and Gerstlauer have pointed at each other for possibly causing the accident.
The hearing was continued to a later date, with no resolution.
