FORT WORTH — Dunbar High School students and staff had a chance to be stars on Sunday.
About a hundred of them were extras in a movie that was shooting a few scenes at the Fort Worth school.
The movie is called "Hoovey," a faith-based film from the same group that made Soul Surfer. Its plot revolves around a hero facing a possible terminal illness who rises above expectations to fulfill his dream of playing basketball, according to information from the casting call.
The students were used to film the school's hallways and basketball games.
The production company shot other scenes at Duncanville High School on Saturday.
