Fort Worth police are seeking three suspects in a shooting that left a 12-year-old dead and a teenager injured earlier this month.

Officers were dispatched just before midnight on June 1 to a home on the 4400 block of Eastover Avenue after someone called 911 to report they'd heard shots fired, according to a press release.

Upon arrival, officers found that two young men, a 12 and 16-year-old, had been shot. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.

The 12-year-old victim, James Hardemon, died from multiple gunshot wounds two days later on June 3.

Witnesses told police a dark, four-door vehicle pulled up in front of the house and at least two suspects exited the vehicle and shot at the house with a high powered rifle, wrote department spokeswoman Sharron Neal in the release.

The victim who died was standing in front of the home, while the 16-year-old was asleep inside. A number of other occupants were inside the home, including two children. They were not harmed, the press release reads.

At this time, three suspects are still unidentified. A fourth suspect, Daniel Anderson, was arrested on June 12.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Det. Tom O’Brien with the Fort Worth Homicide Unit at 817.392.4338 or Crime Stoppers at 817.469.8477. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. All tips are anonymous.
